Montcalm County ReStore is a retail outlet where you can purchase

Used and new home improvement products at 50-90% off retail. 

 

ReStore is a retail store open to the public, where anyone can buy items at discounted prices. Materials sold at ReStores are donated by individuals, construction companies, contractors, and building supply stores.  By donating to Montcalm County Habitat for Humanity ReStore you help build homes and hope for hard-working, low income families right here in Montcalm County. Proceeds help fund local Habitat for Humanity homes.

 

Do you have something to donate?

 

Nearly any building or remodeling material that's in good shape can be recycled through the ReStore, saving you dumping costs and providing a tax deduction as well.

 

We accept the following:

  • Appliances – large and small – in good working order and clean, 10 years old or less.
  • Cabinets/counter-tops – in good condition.
  • Carpet and area rugs – in new or good condition with no stains or odors.
  • Doors – interior and exterior.
  • Electrical – usable parts and supplies.
  • Hardware – knobs, hinges, lock sets, boxed nuts & bolts, screws.
  • Light fixtures/ceiling fans – complete and in good working order.  We welcome antique lamps!
  • Millwork/trim/architectural items.
  • Plumbing – usable fixtures, parts and supplies.
  • Sinks, Bathtubs, Toilets – new or gently used.
  • Tools – hand, garden and working power tools.
  • Wallpaper – full rolls only.
  • Windows – in good condition, double paned only.
  • Furniture – tables, chairs, couches, office, bed frames, headboards/footboards
  • Sorry, no used mattresses or TVs at this time.

ReStores save money and help the community and the environment

  • Shoppers can purchase new, or gently used, home improvement supplies at a fraction of their original cost.  ReStore customers include homeowners, college students, landlords and builders.
  • Profits allow Montcalm County Habitat for Humanity to build more homes
  • Tons of building materials are diverted from landfills and put to reuse

Deconstruction

Deconstruction services are available on a limited basis. Our volunteers can remove items from a business or home destined to be torn down. We are particularly interested in fixtures, cabinets, sinks, shelving, doors and other building components.

 

Volunteer Opportunities

We are always looking for Volunteers to prepare items for sale, assist customers, join a deconstruction work crew, pickup donated materials, load cars and trucks and stock shelves. Please see our "Volunteer" page or call 616-754-5014 for current volunteer opportunities
